Does the death of Vikas Dubey bring an end to his crime campaign or his death have safeguarded his empowered fellowmen who have played a major part in his criminal journey?
Vikas Dubey Encounter
The 56-year-old Kanpur gangster charged with 60 criminal cases involved in murder, kidnapping, and extortion was shot dead in an encounter on a highway near to Kanpur. This happened when the police car met with an accident and turned over, and the gangster tried to escape by snatching a police gun and started firing on the policemen, in a crossfire Vikas was shot dead.
UP Government Set Up SpecialTeams
The death of the Kanpur gangster has raised many suspicions and left with many unanswered questions.
The UP government on Saturday(11th July) has set up an SIT(Special Investigation Team) to inquire about the reign of Vikas Dubey and reinvestigate all his criminal cases to dig into all his political and administrative connections. Just a day after, another independent investigating team was set up to fact-find the death of Vikas Dubey. This team will be headed by retired High Court Judge and will investigate all the deadly encounters starting from July 3 to July 10, which also includes the death of 8 police personnel in a bloody clash between Vikas’s gang and police team who went there to nab the gangster in Bikhru village.
Death of Vikas Dubey Triggered Many Enigmas
Many questions are popping up on the protection that was provide to the wanted criminal and his encounter due to an accident.
- The most basic one was that the dreadful criminal who was been taken to Kanpur in a police convoy was he not handcuffed? If he was, even after the car overturned it would have not been easy for the criminal to come out of the car and try to escape.
- Another one that the car met with an accident on the highway road near empty land with no restriction aside making it easy for the criminal to flee.
- As per sources not evidential yet, the early morning video footage of the police convoy at the toll plaza, Vikas Dubey was found in a different car, not the one that overturned.
- Some witnesses said initially they heard of only gunshots and did not specifically mention the accident.
The ex Justice Shashi Kant Agarwal and his team are expected to submit their report considering all these aspects within 2 months.
Vikas Dubey donned Kanpur for long with all possible crimes. Due to his good relation within political parties and a better understanding with some of the police administrative made his journey more lenient.
Police Official Tipped Vikas Dubey
The 3rd July police raid to nab Vikas in Bikhru village was tipped to Dubey by the police in charge of Chaubeypur police station. This same police in charge also have other accusations of covering up the preceding cases of Dubey. He along with few more officials were suspended and under custody now for further investigations.
The SIT, on the other hand, will investigate the Vikas Dubey’s course of criminal acts and his fellow companions from the political and administrative bodies who backed him through his reign and asked to submit their report on this investigation by July 31st by UP government.
A thorough unbiased investigation will bring light on Vikas Dubey’s corrupt journey, criminal cases, and his arrest in Ujjain Temple, a public place where police from three states were chasing him all around followed by his encounter while taking him to Kanpur on police convoy all these will reveal the unknown and the sinners who were majorly involved with his crimes.
