U.S Military Admits Kabul Drone Strike Was A Big Mistake

Referring to drone strikes targeting ISIS-K terrorists in Kabul, a senior US general has said it was the fault of the U.S intelligence community.
During the evacuation process in the Kabul airport, the ISIS-K terrorist group waltzed in. The airport was set on fire by a suicide bomber taking hundreds of lives including the Afghanistan citizens and the U.S marine, military.
Despite knowing the chances of the Kabul airport bombing U.S ignored the threat and went ahead rescuing its citizens and others only to be bombed by the ISIS-K terrorist group.

After the bombing, the United States president Joe Biden came forward in a press conference and oathed to take their revenge on the terrorist group which was responsible for the heinous act.
Keeping up to their word they tracked down the masterminds behind the Kabul airport bombing and killed the people who were responsible for it within two days.
But right after that, the U.S military led another drone strike. The U.S Intelligence team had intel on the ISIS-K terrorists who were hidden in the surrounding Kabul airport and were planning on another attack. The U.S. Military took immediate actions to prevent any larger scaling bombing and took out to kill the terrorist through drone strike but their calculations went wrong and instead of the terrorists’ many innocent lives were taken in the incident.
Last month during the drone strike, 10 people, including children, were killed in a drone strike as U.S forces withdrew from Afghanistan.

Commander-in-Chief Frank McKenzie described the attack as a “Tragic Mistake. US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin has apologized to the families of those who were killed in the attacks. They said they learned a lot from the incident.
McKenzie said on the occasion “US intelligence has identified Islamic terrorists targeting Kabul airport on August 29. A white Toyota car was identified in this case, the intelligence was sure that the car was being used by ISIS-K terrorists and they anticipated that they had explosives in it but they were wrong.”
McKenzie said that after such a tragic incident which took multiple lives they cannot tell whether the people in the car were associated with the ISIS-K group or not.
“It was a mistake, and I offer my sincere apology. As the combatant commander, I am fully responsible for this strike and this tragic outcome,” he told reporters at a Pentagon news conference.

48 hours before the bombing, highly classified data revealed that ISIS-K planners were using the base to organize future strikes, according to General McKenzie.
“We were also receiving a significant number of reports indicating multiple avenues of attack, being planned simultaneously by ISIS-K would attempt to harm our forces, with rockets, suicide explosive vests, and vehicle-borne improvised explosive devices,” he said.
He further added that the team which executed the strike believed that they were preventing an imminent attack on the U.S forces and the civilians but they were tragically incorrect.

He set the record straight in the pentagon conference and acknowledged the mistakes of the forces and apologized to the friends and families for the loss of their loved ones.
