Climate change is a new threat that the world should look into and take immediate precautions if not men should be ready for their own destruction.
Nearly 200 million people will be displaced by the year 2050 due to climate change, according to the World Bank report. The report has led to a new wave of concern all around the world.
Despite a lot of calamities, warnings, and threats no country has come forward to make changes and to control the footprints and emissions.
The Groundswell report states that water scarcity, rising sea levels, declining crop productivity will slow rise due to the slow pace of climate change and by 2050 there would be millions of people in refugee camps, shelters in the name of “climate change immigrants”
The report warns that by 2050 the world could turn into an intense migration within the country.
The report stated that in the pursuit of development, most of the industries were set up and the emissions from them were left to the gall without refining and men are slowly preparing for their own destruction.
The report emphasizes that approximately 216 million people will be forced to flee their homeland, mainly in the six countries of Latin America, North Africa, Sahara Africa, Eastern, and the Pacific.
Agriculture is the main source of livelihood for the vast majority of people in Sahara Africa, so nearly 86 million people are expected to migrate, the report said. Countries such as North Africa, northeastern Tunisia, northwestern Algeria, Morocco, and Bangladesh are at risk of losing about 19 million lives due to floods and water shortages, the report also added.
Climate expert Viviane Wei Chen one of the authors of the report explained that the weather will become extremely dangerous in the future, which could lead to migration.
At present, about 44 million people have already left their homeland and migrated to cities / abroad for their development or higher employment despite the favorable climate and low pollution or for any other reason.
Environmentalist Dr. Kanta Kumari Rigaud said, “Immigration is not something we have. Only three out of every four people who migrate stay in countries.”
Migration from rural to urban areas is already a major problem as agricultural development is declining like hair.
This situation can be conquered if all the countries of the world move forward to reduce emissions. The report makes it clear that the United States is one of the first countries to be responsible for a climate emergency.
The report notes that no country has come forward to take action unless the decisions taken at conferences such as the Conference of the Parties (COP 25) each year will be put into action and not just limited to words. She hopes to move towards achieving carbon neutrality by 2050 if it comes forward from countries that are major contributors to carbon emissions like the United States which is the major contributor to climate change followed by many other developed and developing countries.
