A month ago the UK banned the Covishield certificate, refused to approve the Indian-made vaccine, Covaxin but after the WHO approval of covaxin for emergency use the United Kingdom has approved the Bharat biotech vaccine.
The UK government has said that the Indian-made Covaxin has been added to the list of approved covid vaccines list. The decision will apply to international travel from 4 am on the 22nd of this month.
Alex Ellis, the British High Commissioner to India, has said that travelers to the UK who have taken two doses of the biotech manufacturing covaxin vaccine will no longer need to be in isolation.

The government has also simplified travel rules for those under the age of 18 entering the UK. They were told that the vaccination was complete and that they did not need to be isolated.
Upon arrival in the UK, they are supposed to undergo a covid test. If tested positive, the PCR test will be done free of cost. Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya has said that India has signed agreements with 96 countries to recognize covid-19 vaccination certificates.
