The way he started his career and made his prominent place, not only in Bollywood but also in the hearts of millions of fans, has inspired so many lives.
His tragic demise seems to be a personal loss to many of us as he was so relatable and his journey to success was so inspiring to many.

Let’s Celebrate Sushant Singh Rajput In His Magical Movies

We surely cannot get you back again but we can celebrate your every moment in Bollywood. Here is the list of his movies to celebrate his memorable roles.

Kai Po Che-2013

Kai Po Che was Sushant’s debut film and he won the Best Male Debutant Award from Filmfare. The film was based on Chetan Bhagat’s novel ‘Three mistakes of my life’. The movie was all about three friends who together dreamt of rising above mediocrity by establishing their sports shop and sports academy. Sushant played the role of Ishaan who was the art and craft of the movie. Ishaan was a brilliant cricketer and his failure to enter into the world of cricket due to the dirty politics in the selection committee made him more stubborn to build his own sports academy. His passion and dedication towards bringing up real talents in the world of cricket made him give up everything. And all his losses turned into his big win when his trained student Ali made his international debut in cricket with the opening shot as a masterstroke. The movie is worth a watch as it does reflects some similarities from his real-life.

Shudh Desi Romance- 2013

In the same year, Sushant Singh Rajput delivered another blockbuster hit Shuddh Desi Romance. The movie was initially planned for Shahid Kapoor, but as he was not able to give dates for the movie, the movie landed on to Sushant. This was a love triangle between Sushant, Parineeti, and Vaani Kapoor and was based on the modern-day relationship. The movie was a rom-com hit where Sushant’s character Raghu was commitment-phobic and has a trend of running away on his D-day. Sushant admirably played the role of confused Raghu who loves to be in love but very much scared of any kind of commitments in life. The movie did very well in the box office and after Kai Po Che’s success, the fans did accept him in a lover boy image in this new age love story.

Detective Byomkesh Bakshy- 2015

Sushant Singh Rajput was just two films old, but he was courageous enough to choose not so glamourous role in his early days in Bollywood.
Dibaker Banerjee directorial Byomkesh Bakshy was the remake of classic Indian- Bengali fictional detective series created by Sharadindu Bandyopadhyay into a film, with Sushant Singh Rajput in the lead role. The director, in one of his recent interviews, stated it was Sushant’s vulnerability and willingness to do something different made him stand out of the crowd. His immense hard work and dedication made him come through so real in the much-loved detective character of Byomkesh Bakshy. Though the movie did not make up much to the blockbuster hit list, as the Indian audience are not always welcoming towards the not so commercial period movies, Sushant Singh Rajput surely made his way out with this film proving he can single-handedly carry such non-commercial periodic movies on his shoulders and do complete justice to it.

M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story- 2016

This movie has been a standing point of Sushant Singh Rajput’s career in Bollywood. He earned praises from around the globe for his terrific performance as M.S. Dhoni. Rajput was not any experienced cricketer but the way he portrayed our much-celebrated captain Dhoni on the big screen is very hard to tell he is reel Dhoni, as he was so much real. His dedication was way beyond anything, he practiced 100 helicopter shots daily to deliver the magic of Dhoni with all perfection on the big screen. He made him trained by Dhoni’s childhood coach Keshav Banerjee to learn the mannerisms and all the tips and tricks of Dhoni. His urge to deliver perfection in playing M S Dhoni was all so visible in the movie. Though the movie was on our former captain MS Dhoni, the movie has made us see the real star of the undeserving industry.

Chhichhore- 2019

This was his last big-screen appearance, Chhichhore did quite well in the box office, this was much of a college drama, and based on college life friendship. What is so strange in his last big-screen movie, was the role of Sushant as Anirruddh or Anni, the father of a teenage son who attempted suicide because of not able able to crack the entrance exam. Sushant (Anni) with all his college buddies made his son realize it is important to live every moment of life fully, even the tough ones as they make us relish the good times even more. This is so contrary to what happened to him lately. Sushant yet again nailed it with his performance playing both the roles of a young college boy and a caring father flawlessly.

Sonchiriya- 2019

The film did receive a positive response but was not able to get the expected returns at the box office. The movie is based on how dacoits are seen in Indian cinema. It shows us the picture of how gender, caste, patriarchism force to make beasts out of a common man. It is a story of gangs of dacoits wandering the land of Chambal valley, some of them looking for a way out. Sushant stands out in his never before seen figure spotting out all the broken emotions and spirits flawlessly. Abhishek Chaubey’s Sonchiriya has a lot to speak on the social structure of this group. Though it has not been acknowledged much, Sushant’s efforts to deliver another masterpiece were way prominent in the movie.

There are so many ongoing feelings when you revisit these movies of Sushant Singh Rajput, that makes you wonder and ask one question “WHY”??? We hope to have the answer one day though it will never be justifiable. We hope you have reached your better place where you are with your Mom in peace and happiness together.
