Superheroes have been living with us for over 75 years. But they were limited to comic books back then, but the rising competition and rivalry between the Marvel Cinematic Universe and The Detective Comics have raised the bars of the superhero universe.
Especially Marvel, MCU has bought comic books to life creating magical lands and exceptional superheroes. Marvel Cinematic Universe has ruled the box office for two decades now. MCU has blown away people with wonderful cinematography. Marvel has released over 22 movies and closed their first phase with the Avengers endgame saying goodbye to the Avengers moving ahead with the new generation of superheroes.
The DC ain’t any less in the competition with Jack Synder’s Justice League version, Wonder Woman 1984, Flash, Aquaman, and other movies DC has been striving alongside Marvel.

Captain America: Civil War
The MCU movie had fins divided into team Cap and team Iron man. The movie can be said as another Avenger movie because most of the team come together. The movie focuses on Steve Rogers A.K.A Captain America and his best bud Bucky struggling to set things straight. The movie also brings in new characters Black Panther, Ant-Man, and the old-school Peter Parker with a fresh face. The movie sees emotional twists and explosive action sequences as promised. The end of the movie was not anticipated and literally tore fans apart.
Iron Man
Robert Downey Jr. is Tony Stark, Tony Stark is Robert Donwey Jr there is no word against it. RDJ gave life to Iron Man’s characters. When Downey was cast as Iron Man speculations rose considering his history but this was a comeback for RDJ as he embraced the role and played it as his own.
The new era of comic movies began right here. With perfect direction, story arc and great casting Iron Man hit the cinema with a big box office success. Starting from their Marvel boarded the flight for creating amazing superhero movies. Iron Man is one of the most successful movie franchises ever made.
X-Men
The ideal director to bring the X-Men onto a silver screen was Bryan Singer. Singer took the darker tones — coupled with a fluttering sarcasm — from The Usual Suspects and Bad Pupil both, that had to lead Marvel’s mutant misfits to the large screen.
Singer is also honored to cast Hugh Jackman for becoming the perfect Wolverine – a choice that continued for decades to inspire other superhero movies. 2000’s X-Men finally created a good foundation for Fox’s entire mutant franchise, and now that the character returns to Marvel, and can officially join the MCU family.
Black Panther
After making an appearance in Civil war Chadwick Boseman’s Black Panther introduces his world on-screen to the audience for the first time in 2018 after two years.
The movie had taken the world by storm by breaking records and bagging awards. The movie screamed black power and was a beautiful example of African-American representation. With powerful villains and cool superwomen like Okoye, Nakia and Shuri the movie is one great significant work. Despite having black dominance it was never considered a black movie, the movie was welcomed all around the world, and it holds a very special and powerful place in people’s hearts.
Chadwick Boseman passed away in August last year after his four years battle with colon cancer. The black Panther II was announced in the Marvel phase II which will continue without T’challa.
Shazam!
DC just faded away in MCU’s noise and was struggling to create something big and good. They really did great work on this, Shazam, the movie managed to get just enough money on-screen, not strong enough to build a franchise but strong enough for a stand-alone movie, the movie is amazingly funny throughout amusing how Shazam gets hold of his powers. A string of emotions, power, superiority all runs down the movie giving you a good time. Warner Brothers really pulled a string on this one, trying to emerge back in the competition.
Wonder Woman
The Amazon’s princess, Diana graces the large screen with her magnificent powers fighting the battle in the world full of men. The movie gave a fresh wave to the audience screaming woman empowerment. Gal Gadot reprises the role of demigoddess of Amazon promising a protagonist and an enigmatic role.
DC was praised for doing it right this time, Wonder Woman is the superhero movie that everyone was waiting for. Wonder Woman was the first female-lead superhero movie that did not receive any negative response.

Avengers: Endgame
The idea of making this movie buzzed around for so long that at one point people started telling Marvel was in the Endgame trying to make this movie but the trailer and the running time of the movie came out shutting everybody up. Avengers: Endgame hit the silver screen in April 2019, tearing apart the records. The movie was 3h 2m long. Exceeding fan’s expectations. The cinema was booked for weeks, people slept outside the movie theatre to get in on the first show. The sensation this movie created was phenomenal.
A brilliant tailored movie filled with action, time-travel adventure, fun, emotions giving an undisturbed ending for the Original avengers. The movie keeps you on the edge of your seat for the complete three hours. What can we say MCU topped off with this movie. If you haven’t watched this yet, maybe you have to grab some popcorn, sit your ass down, and start it right now.
Deadpool
2016’s Deadpool defies odds and expectations. After so much struggle and hard work, Ryan Reynolds finally showed up on the screen 5 years ago with the black and red costume. As Wade Wilson. Deadpool isn’t anything except obscene, violent, and a rip-rending time that subverts a comic book movie’s assumptions while embracing a classical 1980s action that’s highly ludicrous. Gore-filled thriller of vengeance that appears to have an amazing amount of heart and feeling.
The Dark Knight
The dark knight trilogy is one of the best superhero movies ever made. The DC movie explores the dark side of Gotham City, the classic villain, Joker played by Heath Ledger, and later goes on to Bane and saving Gotham City. One of the reasons why the movie is so popular is because it takes on the real-life connotation.
Christian Bale played the most perfect batman the DC universe has ever seen. Heath Ledger graced the screen has an impeccable Joker bagging him an Oscar award but unfortunately, Ledger passed away in 2008 while still shooting the trilogy due to drug overdose. Reports also suggest that playing Joker had taken a toll on his mental health. Some believe that the role is cursed when Joaquin Phoenix came out and said he had suffered psychologically than just losing weight to play the 2019 Joker.
