Britain’s MP Sir David Amess has been brutally murdered.
Conservative MP Sir David Amess, 69, attended a ‘Meet Your Local MP’ event Friday at a church in the local Leigh-on-Sea, in Essex. He was attacked indiscriminately by a man while the show was going on.
He was rushed to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The accused has been taken into police custody and is being investigated. Sir David Amess’s murder was described by British police as a terrorist act.
Mr. Lamb informed the PA news agency. “We knew it had to be serious because the paramedics had been working on Sir David for over two and a half hours and he hadn’t been taken to hospital,”
An air ambulance arrived at a nearby sports field at 14:13 to transport him to the hospital. As paramedics remained on the scene, members of his team began to fear the worst.
Essex Police confirmed Sir David’s death shortly before 15:00.

Essex Police confirmed on Friday that a 25-year-old man was arrested subsequently at the scene on suspicion of murder, and a knife has also been recovered from the suspect.
Whitehall officials confirmed to the BBC that the suspect is being held at a London police station under the Terrorism Act of 2000, is Ali Harbi Ali, a British national of Somali descent.
He was born in Southwark, south London, and grew up in Croydon. He is the son of a former adviser to a former Somali prime minister and the nephew of the Somali ambassador to China.
He was referred to the government’s extremism prevention program Prevent when he was a teenager, but he was never a formal “subject of interest” for MI5.
Although the police have announced that it is a terrorist attack the suspect has not yet been charged with the assassination of Sir David Amess.
