The Indian-origin CEOs of two American multinational tech companies Satya Nadella, CEO of Microsoft, Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google, Alphabet, have expressed concern and promises to help India amid the rapidly growing transition to the second wave of the covid-19 pandemic in India.
Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella on Monday expressed sorrow over the current situation of covid-19 in India. He said he was saddened by the situation in India caused by the second wave of the Coronavirus pandemic and promised to help with relief measures and purchase oxygen concentration devices.
India is reporting more than three lakh coronavirus cases every day, Mr. Nadella has announced that assistance will be provided to the country especially in the face of severe oxygen shortage. He announced that the company would support the purchase of critical oxygen concentration equipment along with ongoing support through relief mitigation efforts, technology, and other resources. He also thanked the US Government for its assistance to India on the occasion.
Google CEO Sundar Pichai has also promised help. Mr. Pichai said he was shocked by seeing the escalating Covid-19 crisis in India. Sundar Pichai revealed that Google and its employees are working together to raise Rs 135 crore for the Government of India, to support UNICEF and high-risk communities for medical supplies, and to help provide critical information.

In the last 24 hours, more than 3.52 lakh new covid-19 cases were reported in the country and 2812 deaths were reported. A total of 2,28,624 corona patients were discharged from the hospital.
Thus, a total of 1,73,06,420 cases of Coronavirus infection have been reported in the country so far. Of these, 1,42,96,703 cases have been cured and 28,07,388 people are still battling the virus. At the same time, 1,95,118 people have sadly died so far.
It is a known fact that countries like Britain, the USA, Saudi Arabia, and Singapore have already announced their assistance in the wake of coronavirus conditions in the country, shortage of oxygen, and essential medicines.
Air India flight from Singapore with 500 bypasses, 250 oxygen concentrators, and other medical equipment landed in Mumbai on Sunday night.
