Sasikala’s Dramatic Exit From Politics: Hidden strategy says others

When hunting a deer, the tiger steps back two or three feet jumps forward at once, and attacks its prey! Is Sasikala following the same principle to capture AnnaDMK in Tamil Nadu?

Observers predict that there is a big move behind her departure from politics. Sasikala’s release from jail was felt to shrink Tamil Nadu politics, but nothing like that happened.

She decided to go public with Amma Mukkal Munnetra Kazhagam (AMMK), with her nephew Dinakaran who is the general secretary of the party.

Meanwhile, an offer to join the AIADMK alliance came from the BJP.

This was prevented by the Anna DMK. Although, Dinakaran did not accept the BJP’s condition of contesting in the assembly elections with the lotus symbol.

After receiving this information the AIADMK leaders had distanced themselves from Dinakaran, Sasikala began to distance herself from him too.

Shashikala has been active in the AMMK, but facing  Anna DMK and DMK alliances and the chances of coming to power are not in sight.

If the AIADMK loses the elections, it will be accused of splitting the votes and betraying the party.

Hence Sasikala has decided that it would be better to step back temporarily.

If the AIADMK comes to power again she can get the reputation of forgiving the people who expelled her from that party and it would help in diverting the vote bank in their favor.

The credit for the win can go to Chinnamma’s contribution.

If Anna DMK loses it will fall on the account of Palaniswami, Panneerselvam. With that, the reins of Anna DMK may fall into the hands of Sasikala in the future.

Either Anna DMK wins or loses there is a political gain for Sasikala. Relations with the BJP government at the Center could also be improved as it has helped keep the opposition DMK afloat.

With this strategy, it seems that Sasikala has temporarily retreated.

Dinakaran fighting alone

AMMK party secretary Dhinakaran to fight without sasikala

AMMK was formed at the instigation of Sasikala. TTV Dinakaran is gearing up to contest the 234-seat assembly in Tamil Nadu alone if an alliance with the BJP is not reached.

He wants to wait until the seat adjustment between the AIADMK and the BJP is finalized. On the other hand, supporters in the name of Shashikala staged a protest in front of her house in Chennai on Thursday, demanding that Shashikala enter politics.
