Samsung, Tesla Sign Camera Deal For The Cybertruck For $436 Million

Elon Musk has created a sensation in the production of Tesla electric cars. Tesla will also produce cybertruck vehicles from its company. Recently, a key agreement was reached between Tesla and Samsung. Tesla has reportedly signed a $ 436 million (Rs 3,000 crore) deal with Samsung to install camera modules in cyber trucks.

According to a report by Samsung Mobile, Samsung has announced a deal to supply camera modules to Tesla’s carmaker. Samsung and Tesla are not new to the deal.

In the past, Tesla has been involved in supplying batteries for electric vehicles. In addition, Pixel LED lamps manufactured by Samsung will be used in electric vehicles manufactured by Tesla. Tesla said that tens of millions of people have so far registered for cybertruck vehicles.

The Tesla Cybertruck was unveiled in November 2019 by Elon Musk, but the unveiling did not go well as planned, and Elon Musk thought no one would buy the car, but now the cybertruck has million of pre-booking.

According to the Korea Economic Daily, the “number one American EV maker” to whom Samsung will supply cameras aims to debut a new electric vehicle that will provide drivers with a back view through a camera installed on the car because the model excludes side mirrors. It was also mentioned that the next EV includes more than eight cameras for self-driving.

The Cybertruck is well-known for being outfitted with a plethora of cameras and sensors. Instead of relying on side mirrors, the electric pickup is outfitted with cameras in the fenders that provide a view of the cabin.

Despite the fact that cameras are not to be used in place of side mirrors in the United States. Tesla has challenged itself to change this rule before the truck is out this by the end of the year or early next year.
