Rockets were hurled at the presidential palace just before the country’s president’s speech to mark the Feast of Bakrid. The event caused a stir during the festival.
A rocket attack targeted the Afghan presidential palace on Tuesday. Three rockets landed near the presidential palace in the national capital, Kabul. No casualties were reported, however. The move was taken seriously by the Afghan government.
Mass prayers were held in the morning at the Presidential Palace on the occasion of Bakrid. President Ashraf Ghani was set to deliver his speech. The bomber struck shortly afternoon in front of a presidential palace as prayers continued. This disrupted the Eid celebrations.
However, Afghan Minister Mirwais Stanikzai said no one was injured when the rockets landed near the building.
The police fanned throughout the area quickly. One car parked on the adjacent street was totally wrecked; the police said it had been used as a rocket launching pad.

The building is located in the heart of a so-called green zone, with massive cement walls and barbed wire, and roadways close to the palace have been long blocked.
However, President Ashraf Ghani strongly condemned the attack. Ashraf was outraged at the attitude of the Taliban.
In the beginning, no group took responsibility for the blast but later, a Taliban state group announced that they were responsible for the explosion on their channel.
The destruction in Afghanistan has started as the United States and NATO pullout from Afghanistan is at the end. Most Afghans are anxious about the depth of turmoil and violence in their war-ravaged country as foreign soldiers retreat the land.
The departure is more than 95 percent complete, and the last American soldier will leave by August 31, according to President Joe Biden in an address earlier this month.
Afghan forces have complained about not being supplied and reinforced, often without food, as the Taliban advances the territory. Afghan troops have, in many cases, surrendered rather than fighting.
U.S. watchdog surveillance in Afghanistan reported that troops had significantly been demoralized, and corruption has spread throughout the country.
Although the United States and NATO have promised to spend $ 4 billion on Afghan forces by the year 2024, most of this money is from Washington.
Taliban attacks are currently rampant in the country. They have been blasting, destroying, and have already occupied more than 85% of the country.
The citizens’ lives in the country are in grave danger, especially women, as the Taliban has ordered the list of women who are above 15 and under 45 to marry their soldiers.
