A recent South African study suggests that the Omicron variant enhances the neutralising and combating immunity against the Delta variant. This recent research report revealed key points. Experts think of it as a natural vaccine.
Recent research suggests and concludes that the omicron variant that can accelerate and transmit rampantly beyond the limits of the delta is gradually becoming an indirect threat to the delta variant.
South African researchers have found that the antibodies and immunity produced in the body of an omicron-infected person may directly increase the body’s immunity to prevent future possibilities of delta variant infections.

From previous studies, it is well known that the Omicron evolved with several deadly mutations in the Delta variants spike protein. The Omicron variant due to its caseload has proven to be more transmissible when compared to the Delta.
However, the severity of the diseases and their associated symptoms and effects caused by the Omicron variant is lower than that of the Delta variant. This is the prime reason as to why even though the Omicron variant is spreading around the globe at high speeds and rates, there are no Delta-type deaths registered or yet recorded.
What this means is that the antibodies produced due to the delta variant infection will not be able to inhibit the omicron. But the antibodies produced by the infection from the omicron variant are able to inhibit both delta and omicron.
That is the reason why scientists worldwide are describing Omicron as a “natural vaccine” gifted by God. The currently dominating omicron variant is thought to perform the functions of vaccination (mild symptoms that stimulate the body’s immune response). The latest research also reinforces and confirms to this newly found notion.
