Center fixes a price for the Covid-19 vaccine at Rs 250 per dose in private hospitals

As the fear of second wave surfaces. The second phase of corona vaccination in the country is set to begin on March 1st. The covid-19 vaccine will be given to people over the age of 60 and over the age of 45 suffering from various diseases.

 The vaccine is available free of charge at public hospitals and for private hospitals, the central government has fixed the price of the corona vaccine.

Authorities said on Saturday that they could charge up to Rs 250 per dose. They made it clear that they could not charge more.

The covid-19 vaccine dose is Rs 150 and the service charge is Rs 100. Officials said the same price would remain in force until the government gives further orders.

It has been revealed that the matter has already been brought to the notice of the States and Union Territories. Each should take two doses. In private hospitals, a total of Rs.500 has to be paid for two doses.

 Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan on Saturday spoke to state and union health secretaries and officials via video conference on the second phase of vaccination and vaccine pricing in private hospitals.

Vaccination registration with Co-Win and On-site facility

The second phase of vaccination will start on March 1.  You can start to pre-register through the Co-Win 2.0 portal from March 1.

The details of the public and private hospitals that provide the covid-19 vaccine, which operates as Covid-19 vaccination centers, have been included in the Co-Win 2.0 portal and the Health Bridge app, according to the Union Ministry of Health.

Vaccines can be pre-registered through the IT applications such as the Health Bridge as well as the Co-Win app. It contains information on the scheduled day and time the vaccine will be given to the beneficiaries at the respective centers.

Hence, Beneficiaries are advised to make an appointment in advance through the Co-Win 2.0 portal or the Health Setu app.

Names can be pre-registered or Beneficiaries can go directly to the Covid-19 Vaccination Centers (CVCs) and register the name for vaccination. According to the Union Ministry of Health.

 A new version of Co-Win App 2.0.is releasing shortly. There will be an opportunity to choose the area and time of the vaccination session.

Beneficiaries do not have the option of choosing between Covishield and covaxin vaccines.

Beneficiaries can also be vaccinated in a region other than their own state. People over the age of 60 are required to carry an identity card and those People suffering from various diseases between the ages of 45 and 59 should submit a certificate signed by the RMP.

The center identified 20 types of health conditions related to disease victims between the ages of 45 and 59. This includes heart disease, kidney disease, hypertension, and so on.

The covid-19 vaccine will be given to 10,000 private hospitals affiliated to the AYUSHMAN India-Prime Minister’s Public Health Scheme, more than 600 hospitals affiliated to the Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS), and hospitals that are part of the state health insurance.

For the second phase, a list of all private hospitals providing the covid-19 vaccine was uploaded on the National Health Authority website along with the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. In addition, government medical college hospitals, district hospitals, subdivisional hospitals, CHCs, PHCs, health sub-centers, and health care centers are used as Covid-19 vaccination centers.

How to download the Co-Win app?

Version 2.0 of the Co-Win app will be available for download from Monday from either the Google Play Store or the Apple Play Store.

It includes User Administrator Module, Beneficiary Module, Beneficiary Acknowledgment, and Status Update modules. Those who are not on the list of frontline workers will have to upload any one of the nearly ten certifications such as an Aadhaar card, voter ID, driving license in the self-registration in the registration module.

Beneficiaries receive OTP after registering a mobile phone number. Which will create an account. An acknowledgment will be received after vaccination.
