We will take it back within the stipulated time.

As part of this roadmap, the Center intends to privatize Rs 6 lakh crore worth of infrastructure assets. The list includes assets of power grid pipelines, including national highways. The Center has identified highways, railways, and electricity as the top three sectors for liquidation of assets. Explaining the National Monetization Pipeline project, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said, “Private partnership will further oversee the assets. We can invest in them and increase the infrastructure. But I want to give the same answer to those who say we are selling them. We will monitor these assets through the National Monetization Pipeline.”, The ownership rights are entire with the Central Government and we will take them back within the stipulated time frame, ”Sitharaman said.

As part of this roadmap, it is privatizing the assets of roads, airports, and power lines. The Center has said that all sectors except the strategic ones will be privatized. The Center said that the ‘Public-Private Partnership (PPP)’ in the management of the airport was bearing fruit. In this context, it wants to extend this policy to railway stations as well. The Center said it expects large-scale private sector participation in the latest asset monetization in this regard.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has lashed out at the Centre’s national monetization policy announced on Monday. He lashed out at the BJP government for severing ambitious assets that had been developed by previous governments for 70 years. At a press conference on Tuesday, Rahul lashed out at Prime Minister Modi for allegedly tying up assets to his friends, industry elders.

Rahul Gandhi on NMP

Rahul Gandhi has criticized the latest plans to rob only two or three big corporates. Rahul questioned why the railways, which would benefit millions of citizens, were being privatized. On this occasion, the big companies were reminded to keep an eye on who is getting the ports and airports. Congress senior leader and former Union Finance Minister P Chidambaram were also present at the meeting.

Rahul flagged off that the Modi-led government had put up for sale assets like gold built by the previous governments with the public. Modi has been criticized for trying to benefit his industrial friends through the national monetization pipeline. They are not against privatization but have never privatized key industries. In this context, Rahul recently revealed that he wants to tell the youth what the government is selling and what property is going to whom.

Huge impact on the future of the country

Everyone laughed, especially when he warned himself about Corona. But Rahul said you finally saw for yourself what happened. He said the central government’s privatization plan would have a huge impact on the country’s future. Rahul Gandhi expressed concern that the participation of private companies in the infrastructure sector would lead to monopolies in key sectors, leading to job losses. Former Union Minister P Chidambaram was also expressed his concern over the National Monetization Pipeline. On the other hand, Congress senior Shashi Tharoor tweeted that the BJP still needs to realize that Congress governments have built up the country’s assets.

At least now, BJP should acknowledge that national assets were created since independence by successful @incIndia govts so that today’s BJP government can sell them to overcome the financial mess created in the last 7 years of their misgovernance!
