Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a two-day trip to Italy for the G20 Summit at the invitation of Mario Draghi, Italian Prime Minister. The world leaders are to discuss the challenges posed by the covid-19 pandemic, the effects of climate change, and how to conserve the planet.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, had the delight to meet with Pope Francis on Saturday. Modi set a record as the first Indian Prime Minister to meet Francis since taking office as Pope. An hour-long meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Pope Francis continued in Vatican City.

Although scheduled to last 20 minutes, the hour-long meeting included a wide range of issues between the two, including poverty alleviation. Earth conservation measures in the context of climate change were discussed.
Modi invited Pope Francis to visit India. Modi will be touring Glasgow from November 1 to 2. Presidents and delegates from 120 countries are expected to attend the two-day Conference of the Party (COP) in Glasgow.
Pope Francis recently was in news for some of his made statements lately. He commented that some church officials wanted him to die. The Pope recently had abdominal surgery.
He told conservatives that they thought he was seriously ill at the time of the surgery. He said they were expecting him to die. When the pope was on a tour in Slovakia he spoke to the local media and revealed what the church officials were doing behind his back.
They also said that they were ready to elect the next pope if he died, but that by the grace of God he was well.
