Prime Minister Modi presented a pink Meenakari chess set to Kamala Harris. Every part of this unique chess set is wonderfully crafted with craftsmanship. Its bright colors convey the uniqueness of Kashi. The Pink Meenakari is located in Kashi, one of the oldest cities in the world. Modi is also representing the Varanasi constituency in the Lok Sabha.
In addition, the Prime Minister presented Kamala Harris’ grandfather PV Gopalan’s old wooden memento as a special gift. PV Gopalan is a respected senior government official. He held various positions. Modi handed over a copy of his notifications to Kamala Harris.
Similarly, Prime Minister Modi presented a Silver Pink Fishing Ship to Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison. It is specially made by hand. This ship reflects the Kashi consciousness.
Also, the Prime Minister of Japan Yoshihide Suga was presented with a sandalwood Buddha statue. Buddhism has played a key role in establishing good relations between India and Japan. During his previous visit to Japan, Modi also visited several Buddhist temples.
This is the first foreign visit of the Prime Minister since covid-19. The Prime Minister’s visit ends on Friday (today). He will address the United Nations General Assembly on the 25th (Saturday).
