Malala Yousafzai Marries A Pakistani And The Netizens Are Not Happy

Nobel laureate Malala Yousafzai surprised the world with her marriage announcement.

On 10, November 2021 i.e., today Malala Yousafzai posted pictures of her small nikkah in her Birmingham house in the UK. “Today marks a precious day in my life. Asser and I tied the knot to be partners for life,” she said in a tweet along with some pictures of the intimate ceremony.

Malala came into the limelight when the Taliban shot her at gunpoint as she was protesting against their objection over girl’s education at the age of 15 she was moved to the United Kingdom for further treatment and in the year 2014 she was awarded the Nobel peace prize for her contribution and she wrote history has the youngest recipient of the award.

Malala Yousafzai, later, went on to pursue her education at the oxford university. Last year she graduated from oxford.

Asser Malik, Malala Yousafzai’s now-husband is an entrepreneur from Pakistan. Asser Malik received a degree from the Lahore University of Management Sciences. Asser has a good association with the sports sector.

Asser joined the Pakistan Cricket Board in 2020, is currently the General Manager, High Performance, PCB. In addition, he serves as the Player Development Manager for the Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise Multan Sultans.

While Malala Yousafzai is getting best wishes from Pakistan for marrying young and especially marrying a Pakistani the rest of the world is not happy.

In June Malala Yousafzai gave an interview to the Vogue magazine in which she said that she doesn’t understand why two people have to sign a paper if they want to be together. She added that they can stay together for the rest of their life without signing any paper. She clearly told that she did not believe in the concept of marriage. This was criticized by Pakistan for spreading anti-Islamic norms, but a few months later Yousafzai herself was unable to break the cage she had claimed to do.

There are 80% of girls who are still forced to marry before 18 in Pakistan and seeing Malala as an inspiration imagine how they would have revolted and confronted their family against the bizarre traditions and now that she herself did not keep up to her words which meant she had failed the people who had followed her and believed in her words.

The famous Bangladesh author Taslima Naseer also chided Malala on this she showed screenshots of the Vogue articles of two different times and said she believed Malala would marry an authentic and honest English man and not fall into the Pakistan trap since she was in the UK but now she did the same and she also added the narcissist Taliban will be happy with Malala’s decision.
