After the Netflix historical drama series, The Crown which revolves around the life of the British Royals came out, now a Hollywood movie based on princess Diana’s life called ‘Spencer’ is all set to hit the screen this year.
The shooting of the movie has started and the Twilight Saga fame, 30-year-old, American actress, Kristen Stewart is all set to play, Diana Spencer.
Kristen Stewart along the years made her mark by playing some badass characters like Sabina in 2019’s Charlie’s Angles.
Kristen Stewart said that she really is not that excited playing Princess Diana has the role to play Diana comes with a lot of challenges especially Diana’s British accent.
First and foremost, nailing that accent. “The accent is intimidating as hell because everybody knows the voice, and it’s so, so distinct and particular,” the actress said. “I’m working on it right now, and I’ve already hired a dialect trainer.”
In order to do the late Princess justice, Kristen Stewart is also doing detailed research on her. “It’s one of the saddest stories ever exist and I don’t just want to play Diana—I want to know her implicitly,” says Stewart.
This ‘Spencer’ movie revolves around Diana’s love, marriage to Prince Charles, her children Prince William and Harry.
Kristen Stewart said that the movie focuses on three particular days of Diana’s life.
Over the summer, Larraín expressed excitement about Stewart’s casting “Kristen can be many things, and she can be mysterious, fragile, and ultimately strong, which is what we need,” he explained.
“I was reminded of her by the combination of those elements. It’s amazing to see how she reacted to the script and how she’s approaching the role. I believe she can create something both beautiful and fascinating. She’s a natural force.”
Although the movie is not moving towards Princess Diana’s Tragic Death in 1997 said Director Pablo Larraín.
“We want to tell a story about identity and how a woman chooses not to be the queen. She is a woman who decides and discovers, during the course of the film, that she wants to be the woman she was before meeting Charles ” says Pablo Larraín.
