Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has won a hat-trick in parliamentary elections. However, his dream of securing a majority of seats remained a nightmare. He bent his corona horns in a way that no other country in the world could achieve and went to the polls two years early. It is hoped that policy decisions will be made freely if a majority government is formed this time. But the results of the 2019 elections are almost repeated.
Preliminary results show that the ruling Liberal Party won 156 seats in the 338 – seat Canadian House of Commons, while the Conservative Party is limited to 121 seats. Trudeau’s hopes of crossing the magic mark of 170 were dashed.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, who will form the government again with the support of the New Democratic Party, which won 27 seats, thanked everyone who politely voted for Canada. However, he acknowledged that their numbers were not enough to defeat Lukashenko’s by-elections.
Demands are coming in to go to the polls first and say what Justin Trudeau has achieved.
People who were lined up at the poll booths stated their disappointment with the Prime Minister Justin Trudeau telling he had managed the covid-19 pandemic very badly and had promised to conduct polls only after the pandemic has ended but he had lied to us and is hurrying the process to take advantage.
While some other youngsters said he was a “consistent leader” “managed the pandemic well” “and is fit to take for the third term”
“You (Canadians) are sending us back to work with a clear mandate to get through this pandemic into brighter days ahead,” Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said, flanked by his wife Sophie Gregoire and their children on stage at a victory gala.
Erin O’Toole the opposition Conservative leader accepted his defeat. Congratulated Justin Trudeau on becoming Prime Minister for the third time. However, he acknowledged that their numbers were not enough to defeat them.
O’Toole said “Trudeau asked for a majority five weeks ago, He stated that a minority government would be ineffective. However, on this night, Canadians did not give him the majority mandate he desired.”
“In reality, people sent him back with another minority at a cost of 600 million dollars and worse divisions in our wonderful nation. Earlier this week, he threatened to call yet another election in 18 months if he didn’t get his way.
The Conservative leader went on to say that Trudeau had hoped for a quick “power grab,” but that the Canadian PM “has forced us into what he has promised will be 18 months of endless campaigning.” Speaking in both English and French simultaneously, the 48-year-old woman pleaded with listeners to put their differences aside. He further claimed that Trudeau desired an additional 18 months of contentious campaigning in order to get an electoral outcome favorable to him. O’Toole, on the other hand, asserted that instead of exploiting the divide for one’s own gain, the time has come to bridge it.
