A technically faulty missile accidentally exploded during routine maintenance on March 9, 2022.
On March 9, an Indian supersonic flying missile was launched, from Suratgarh into Pakistan territory. Pakistan on Thursday alleged that an object like an Indian supersonic missile had crashed into its territory. The mysterious device traveled at an altitude of 40,000 feet, disrupting air travel, and crashed 207 kilometers into the city of Mian Chanu.
Although the incident was deeply regretted, it was assuring that no casualties were reported in the accident, only, the nearby wall collapsed. The Indian Ministry of Defence already explained that the missile accidentally landed in Pakistan while the general maintenance process was underway.

The missile traveled at an altitude of about 40,000 feet speed over 100 kmph, which is three times faster than air in the air before landing in Pakistan. The Indian government regretted that the incident was due to a technical glitch. Also, it had taken the incident seriously and ordered a high-level inquiry.
Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry has complained to the Indian ambassador that the missile launch has created panic among the people of Pakistan, including damage to civilian property. It warned India to take measures, to prevent a recurrence of such incidents in the future.
Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi also issued another statement on the incident. He alleged that India is frequently violating their airspace and that its defense system detected a fast-moving object. The device, which traveled 207 kilometers in 3 minutes 44 seconds at an altitude of 40,000 feet above the ground, later crashed. He also said that thair Air Defence operations center has been tracking it since it departed from Sirsa, India.
