India records the highest number of coronavirus cases in a single day

The coronavirus is getting out of hand day by day in the country.

Every day, India is seeing over a lakh covid-19 cases, overnight India has recorded 1.7 lakh cases putting brazil behind and taking the second spot worldwide in the highest cases list.

According to Reuters, Brazil has 1.34 crore cases. The total number of coronavirus cases in India has reached 1.35 crore. America leads the first position with 3.12 crore cases.

According to the latest figures released by the Union Ministry of Health, 1,68,912 cases were registered in the last 24 hours alone, reflecting the severity of the outbreak. with 904 died of the virus.

This brings the total number of cases in the country to 1.35 crores and the number of deaths to 1,70,179.

Concerns are growing as more than a million coronavirus cases are being registered in a single day. The number of active cases crossed 11 lakhs for the first time.

So far, no such cases have been reported in First Wave. The virus is spreading rapidly due to the mutation and is stronger than the original strain.

Covid-19’s claw is particularly noticeable in Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, and Rajasthan these states account for 70% of the cases throughout the country.

 In Maharashtra, the number of cases has increased by 37% to 63,294, 349 people have died in the last 24 hours.

There were 15,276 cases in Uttar Pradesh, 14,098 in Chhattisgarh, followed by 10,774 in Delhi.

 In the national capital, Delhi, the number of cases is going up rapidly 10,774 cases were reported in the last 24 hours.

This is the first time such a huge number of cases were recorded in a day ever since the first wave. Chief minister Kejriwal warns about the possible lockdown.

Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray is holding rounds of meeting concerning the lockdown too.

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has made it clear that no state-wide lockdown will be imposed in Madhya Pradesh.  Only curfew will be imposed in the high alert areas. According to him, there is no use in imposing lockdown as it would disrupt people’s life.

If the number continues to rise, treatment and beds in hospitals will become more difficult.

According to health professionals, the covid-19 cases have increased in youths and kids, unlike the first wave the second wave is likely dangerous for the younger generation.

Virologists say the slow pace of vaccination, people’s carelessness of taking the vaccine, and not abiding by the rules of wearing the mask are some of the major reasons for the rapid increase in cases.

Well looking at the circumstances the possibility of economic recovery is a far talk, according to experts coronavirus is going to reach its peak in the midst of April and India might see a lockdown in weeks from now if the cases continue to surge.
