Google Planning to Adopt Hybrid Policy For Work From Home

Google has chosen the new policy in terms of bringing employees to offices. Instead of coming to the office and working all at once. Google says OK to the hybrid policy where employees work from home and office. The office will make a decision on the work once the conditions are right. The decision was made based on the response from employees on the post-covid‌ work approach.

Big companies around the world have been running WorkFrame Home for years because of Corona. However, Google has asked its employees to come to the office from September. More than 10,000 employees came to the office and responded to the work. More than 8,500 employees have asked Google to allow them to work from home and the office. Some of them requested to be transferred to other areas. A few said they were ready to come to the office if they changed equipment in the workplace.

Based on the response from employees, Google has expressed its willingness to work in a hybrid manner from home and office. In the same way, it is also convenient to relocate some as requested by the employees. Google has rejected a request to change the equipment. To this extent, the article was published in Bloomberg.

According to a Statista report, 55 percent of Google employees want to change their offices, while the remaining 45 percent say they want to work from home. A Google spokesperson responded, “ Can it meet the needs of employees? Or not? How are the office rules for that? It will take some time to learn about the details related to this. Only then does awareness come. We will then change the office environment to suit the needs of the employees. Employee requests will be rejected where not possible.”

So finally, Google is planning to call their employees to the office by choosing a hybrid policy and giving them the flexibility to do work from home and work from the office. However, few companies made themselves complete remote companies. One such company is Quora. Last year Quora announced that they would be closing their workspace in the U.S completely and going to make all the employees work remotely.
Twitter is also trying to work on a similar model. They do not want to force their employees to work from the office. They can work remotely as long as their comfort, and they can also choose to work from the office if they want.
However, Google is planning to go with a hybrid policy to improve productivity and reduce the communication gap.
Many IT companies in India like Infosys, HCL Technologies, TCS, and others also calling their vaccinated employees back to the office.
Small and mid-range IT companies employees are back to offices in India, and few companies turned out to complete remotely operated organizations.
One thing is for sure this pandemic made local talent available to a global audience where many companies are operating remotely and hiring remote employees. This can be great news who are looking for more opportunities without location constraints.
