The Hollywood movie Godzilla vs Kong started the box office journey solidly.
After the lockdown, this is the first movie to have recorded a higher first-day gross than Hindi movies in India.
Released in several languages across the country, the film has received a good response. The film was released in India two days before its international release in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
Hindi films have not been able to make much of an impact at the box office due to coronavirus conditions.
The Mumbai Saga film starring Janvi Kapoor, John Abraham, Imran Hashmi released recently, the multi-stared movie was expected to create a noise in the theatre but it failed poorly.
However, the Hollywood film Godzilla vs. Kong received a better response than Bollywood movies right from day 1.
Although Godzilla vs Kong does not seem to be gaining much popularity in the northern states. On average the occupancy did not appear to exceed 15 percent.
As a result, poor collections were recorded in the northern states.
Godzilla vs Kong is getting a moderate response in Tamil Nadu. About 35 percent of the film’s occupancy was in theaters.
The appearance of this range of occupancy even on a working day has taken the trade community by surprise. With that came good openings.
Godzilla vs Kong movie has seen huge openings in Andhra and Telugu states. It has grossed more than the recently released Telugu movies. The possibility of huge collections for the Telugu version is seen.
Godzilla vs Kong made a good collection of Rs 4.5 crore on the first day in India, until now the Hollywood movie has managed to make over Rs. 40 crores in India.
In the United States, Godzilla vs Kong has raised over $48.5 million after the first five days. Making it the largest weekend opening collection for the US box office post-COVID-19.
In the first three days of Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman 1984, it made up $16.7 million, which was until now the biggest starting point.

The Warner Bros Godzilla Vs Kong has punched $285.4 million worldwide by Sunday.
The total overseas volume, adding $76.1 million this weekend making a whopping $285.4 million in the box office worldwide.
Godzilla vs Kong is the fastest studio film released during Covid-19 to hit the world’s $200 million milestones.
Predictions are that the movie will easily cross $300 million by the next weekend.
In summary, it is good news for the film industry that the market will become more stable as people are coming to the theatre to see films on the big screen.
