What is the actual glacier outburst?
Glacier or moraine is a group of igneous rocks, muddy surface ice, and rocks.
A glacial lake outburst is a type of outburst flood that occurs when the glacier is released. It is basically an outburst that happens when the glacial lake-containing dam fails.
Such effects occur due to water pressure and flow increase, when ice caps or cliffs break, or when earthquakes occur under the ice.
The glacier is filled with billions of cubic meters of water. When neither ice nor glacier sediment can be controlled, the released water can last for minutes or even hours, or even days.
Once the water has receded for a few minutes, the situation returns to normal.
In other cases, the water flows rapidly and refuses to go back to normal. This causes a flood in the nearby areas.
