Strange developments are taking place in the Facebook company which is now facing some striking allegations. It is well known that a former employee of the social media giant has accused the company of prioritizing money over user security. The whistleblower came forward with information and was ready to testify with congress.
Meanwhile, when the matter came to light, Facebook took corrective measures. Increased surveillance of the movements of employees working in the company. Made a list of black sheep and prepared to hunt down the suspects. Instead of rectifying their mistake and protecting user data.
A developer has been permanently banned for inventing an app that deletes news feeds to help people stay in check with the content they are using.
Louis Barclay, a developer from the UKs’ tool offers the option of automatically unfollowing a friend list and pages through a browser called ‘Unfollow Everything’. It also helps people clear their news feed according to Facebook.
Louis, however, denies the allegations against him. He says that this is just an extension service and has nothing to do with follow and unfollow. However, Facebook is not satisfied with this explanation. Barclay has announced that he is permanently banned from Facebook and its affiliate, Instagram, and Whatsapp.
But it is suspected that Barclay’s help to Frances Haugen (who came forward about Facebook’s policies) may have been the reason!
Frances Haugen, a former Facebook employee, has turned into a whistle-blower. The case was later put into the face of congress.
Now the management is urging the employees to spread positive publicity about Facebook. The Times published an article saying that memos containing these items were issued to lower-level employees. They also issued stern orders to employees not to criticize Haugen.
Former product engineer Frances Haugen has come to the world with allegations on Facebook. Her report, titled ‘Protecting Kids Online’, came to light through a popular magazine. It goes on to describe how badly the mental state of teenagers is damaged with Instagram, as well as how various political parties in different countries and their affiliates have worked for the benefit of Facebook. She also turned to senators for personal safety at the moment.
However, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg has publicly denied the allegations. Now news about compromised is emerging. The Oversight Board, known as the Independent Investigation Agency in the Facebook Company, will soon meet Frances Haugen. The board on Monday issued a statement saying it would confirm the allegations. However, The Times published another article suspecting that this was all part of a compromise.
