United Kingdom: The husband of Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Philip, 99, has died on Friday morning.
This was announced by Buckingham Palace via Twitter. Prince Philip, who had been ill for a long time now, passed away while receiving treatment.
This has also raised some questions among the British citizens and the royal family admirers around the world. About whether Prince Philip’s grandson Prince Harry will attend his grandfather’s funeral.
Harry and Meghan Markle have not returned to Buckingham palace after finishing their last royal duties as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
Ever since the Oprah Winfrey talk show staring Prince Harry- Meghan Markle came out revealing to the world about the hardships they experienced in the Palace and the racial discrimination and media spreading false stories about Meghan and at one point how she wanted to commit suicide the royal family has been very disturbed and TV host who always chided Meghan was sacked and lot more things have happened since then.
Prince Philip was admitted to the hospital before the Oprah interview aired. Buckingham Palace sent a message to Harry asking him to visit his grandfather because of his health condition.
The reasons are unknown but reportedly Prince Harry did not visit his grandfather. And now the question of whether he will even attend the funeral is bothering the people of Britain.
Recently Prince Philip was discharged from hospital but he was kept oblivion of the Orpah interview and the incidents thenceforth.
Unfortunately, the Duke Of Edinburgh passed away in the early morning on 9th April 2021.
Despite the speculations of them attending the funeral, Harry and Meghan Markle’s Archwell foundation paid tribute to Prince Philip by closing the site and holding the banner with a single message.
Prince Philip has supported the Queen for 65 years, he retired from his public position in 2017 and since then has largely remained out of sight.
During his active years, he helped set a new direction for the monarchy, upholding Britain, the environment, science, and technology.
Prince Philip was the first member of the royal family to have a TV interview, and on a royal tour of the Commonwealth, he performed a broadcast.
He also reportedly took part in televising the coronation of the queen in 1953 as well as planned an innovative TV documentary about the family in 1969.
