Chinese provinces urge married couples to have babies by offering loans. Such special loans are designed to urge married couples to have children. In addition to this kind of special loan, China’s northeastern Jilin Province is currently offering another set of special loans that encourage eligible young people to get married as soon as possible.
In an effort to show its strong support, the Chinese government has backed banks to lend up to Rs. 23 lakh. Such kinds of loans are being offered on a low-interest loan basis that is directly dependent on the number of children the beneficiary couple would have.

However, as per some expert demographers’ predictions, the population in Jilin Province is already declining rapidly. With such harsh predictions, Jilin Province has promptly taken steps to promote population growth and sustainability.
It is also been allowed for married couples that are from other provinces to secure residency as a part of the population growth measures. However, over there acquisition of such permission is famously called a hookah.
Moreover, as an incentive or reward the married couples that are getting such permission and giving birth in Jilin Province can register themselves for the public services. In addition to such incentives, the government is also providing lucrative tax breaks for married couples with two or three children when the couple is setting up their small business.
Jilin Province is part of the “Rust Belt” region of China where agriculture is a prominent field of activity and income.
Despite this, the Jilin Province region in recent years has been facing the worst population decline and economic slowdown in recent years. Moreover, in an effort to improve the prevailing conditions just like other provinces, Jilin Province has extended the time period of maternity and paternity leave.
