Mumbai police further noted statements from the late actor’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty, who revealed Sushant was suffering from depression and was under clinical treatment. She also added the actor was not regular with his medicines. With this information, the Mumbai police went on to record statements from three psychiatrists and one psychotherapist. It has also been said Sushant was not consistent with his Doctors and kept on changing them. Mumbai Police also took a statement from the existing managerial staff of Sushant who also addressed Sushant was in depression.

With all the tussle ongoing between Mumbai and Bihar Police, one of the popular news channels continued their investigation on bringing up shocking facts and findings. Even after 64 days of the actor’s death, no FIR was lodged by Mumbai Police. Few CCTV videos were being fired by a news channel showing the presence of an unknown man carrying a black bag in the crime scene along with the Police. Even footage was leaked where a woman was seen entering the apartment without any restriction when the body was moved to the ambulance. The pictures of the actor’s body that went viral also shown the mark around his neck were someway not convincing this can happen by hanging on a cotton cloth robe. Also, the body posture when the body was lying down on the bed was straight but while taking to the stretcher the body was laid sidewise with legs being curled into a baby pose. Even the height of the body on the ambulance stretcher is a question as it seemed to be longer than Sushant’s height. The presence of two ambulance theory with three different reasons coming from three ambulance people was a matter of concern.
Sushant was living in his apartment with his team and staff none of them were interrogated and were not restricted from moving out of the state.

All these loopholes made the suspicion stronger towards the death mystery of the actor. All this while the news media remained consistent in giving all the latest updates related to the case. Soon a campaign CBIforSSR started where millions of people not just from India but across the globe joined this movement to seek justice for SSR. More than 3.1 million people joined the campaign and pleaded for the CBI investigation for SSR.

SC has rejected the plea of Rhea Chakraborty of transferring the case to Mumbai from Bihar Police, stating the Bihar government has the right to give consent to CBI to probe the case. A single bench judge of Justice by Hrishikesh Roy gave the verdict. The SC ordered Mumbai Police to cooperate with CBI and hand over all the investigation so far. Also, the Supreme court stated if there is any other case found linked to SSR’s case should also be investigated by CBI.
