BSNL Announces Good News for its Customers

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) is all set to launch its 4G network with total coverage of pan-India by September 2022. BSNL, a Public sector undertaking(PSU) in the telecom sector is all set to announce a series of good news to its customers regarding the company’s future plans of expansion of services in the network sector.

 As per the sources, BSNL is ready to launch its 4G services across the country by September 2022. As of now, BSNL is offering 4G services only in selected areas of the country thereby catering to a limited set of its customers.

 Minister of State for Communications Devusinh Chauhan while addressing in the parliament said that with the introduction of 4G services by BSNL a total revenue of Rs.900 crore would be generated.

 Answering to the questions and speculations of the privatization of the Telecom PSU BSNL & MTNL, Devusinh Chauhan  dismissed all such rumors with a strong statement by replying in writing to the Lok Sabha stating that the government has no plans to withdraw investments in BSNL and MTNL.

As per the latest PTI report, For the upcoming BSNL 4G tender, the said PSU has invited Proof of Concept (PoC) for interested companies to participate with promising efforts and vision. 

With the Government launching a promising and optimistic plan for revival for the state-owned telecom organizations like BSNL and MTNL. As a part of this revival plan, BSNL & MTNL have been allocated with the spectrum of 4G services to enable the PSU’s sustain the current market competition.


BSNL Announces Good News for its Customers

 For financing the said revival plan the Budget allocations will be employed.  According to the latest financial statements, Rs.1,33,952 crore is the total value of BSNL assets also MTNL assets amount to a staggering value of Rs. 3,556 crores. 

In the debt department, BSNL is sitting on a total debt of Rs.85,721 crore alongside MTNL with a total debt of Rs.30,159 crore. With such revival plans the future for the PSUs looks bright but for the plan to become a success, strong and prompt execution is required from the concerned stakeholders.
