Bomb Blast Near Mosque Kills 5 Civilians: Taliban States ISIS-K Cell Destroyed

The capital of Afghanistan, Kabul shook once again in the recent bomb blast.

A bomb blast that occurred near the Eid al-Fitr Mosque in Kabul has injured at least 14 people. The injured are being rushed to a local hospital.

Taliban spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid said the bomber struck shortly afternoon in front of a mosque.

People who were standing outside the mosque were the ones that were mainly injured but the Taliban did not confirm the numbers and an Italian-funded hospital stated that eleven civilians have been badly injured and five have died so far.

The bomb blast was targeted towards the Talibani troops, but instead took a turn claiming civilian’s lives.

The site was swept clean by noon but none of the terrorist groups came forward to take responsibility. Taliban claimed that it was ISIS-K because of what had happened in late August while the U.S and other countries had taken over the Kabul airport to rescue their citizens. The blast had killed hundreds of people including the U.S. marine force and the civilians.

Three people who were held responsible for the blast at the mosque were arrested shortly according to Taliban spokesperson.

And a day later Taliban has come forward reporting they have destroyed the ISIS cell completely along with the terrorists in it.

The investigation of the case is ongoing and not much information has been brought to light yet.
